My memory of the Orange Depot dates way back to February 7,1961.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t a pleasant memory, because our visit to the Depot was only to retrieve the casket that held my daddys body.  You see my daddy, T. A. Badeaux was born and raised in Orange, and he was murdered in California on February 2, 1961.  My mother wanted to bring his body back to Orange to be laid to rest in Bland Cemetery, and his final stop was at the Orange Depot.
I’m so excited the Depot is being renovated and I can’t wait until I visit Orange again.  We live in Arkansas and don’t get down to Orange very much.  Good luck and I will keep checking the progress.
